What it is like
to work with me

One project, or someone who already knows your business when you call.

In short

Derek Packer works with small businesses either on single projects or on an ongoing basis. Ongoing work starts by collecting a business's brand, writing style, photo assets and account access into one shared folder. Where those do not exist yet, they are built. After that the business can request work at short notice without re-explaining itself each time. Everything produced belongs to the client, who keeps a copy, can request deletion at any time, and can take the whole organized folder to another provider.

The first call

One question decides how we start

Option one

Just this project

You know what you need. I do that, hand it over, and we are done. No commitment to anything after it.

Option two

Look at everything first

I go through your whole setup before recommending anything. Sometimes the thing you called about is not the thing costing you money.

I ask which one you want at the start, rather than deciding for you.

Ongoing work

What I collect, and why it makes everything faster

Most of the cost in a small job is the explaining. If I already have these, the explaining is done once instead of every time.

If you do not have these yet, that is the first job. I will tell you what is missing and build it. A brand guide, a writing style guide, an asset library, whichever ones you are short of. Then everything after that is faster.
After that

You call, and I already know

No discovery call, no brand explanation, no hunting for the logo file. Most requests start the same day.

A run of social posts

In your brand, in your voice, scheduled.

A webinar

Signup page, platform, reminders, and someone running it.

A flyer before an event

Print ready, with a proof before anything goes to the printer.

A page added or edited

Without breaking anything else on the site.

Video edited and posted

Cut, captioned, scheduled.

An email campaign

Written, built, sent.

Something automated

The job you keep doing by hand.

A new tool set up

Chosen, configured, and explained.

Numbers checked

What happened last month, and what to change.

One client, five years of work

Rebranding, copywriting, a website, a webinar, email automation and video editing. All for one person.

Not because it was sold as a package. Because after the first project I had her brand, her writing style, her assets and her access, and it became faster to ask me than to brief someone new.

She still calls when she needs something. That is the whole model.

Ownership

You own all of it, and you can leave with it

  • Everything produced belongs to you
  • You get a copy, I keep a copy
  • Ask me to delete mine and I will
  • No locked contracts and no notice period

If you stop working with me, you get the whole folder, organized. Your brand, your assets, your guides, your logins. Ready to hand to the next person, or to an AI, without them starting from nothing.

Licensed things stay under their own terms. Fonts, stock photos and paid plugins belong to whoever sells them.

Included, not billed

Your business gets organized while the work happens

Files end up where they belong. Folders get named so someone else can find things. Systems get written down rather than living in your head.

This is not a service you buy. It happens because the work is faster when things are in order, and it means that whoever handles your business next is not starting from a shoebox.

Also

Learning to do some of it yourself

Where it saves you money, I would rather teach you than bill you for it every month.

Using AI to create

Content, captions, first drafts, images. What it is good at and what it is not.

Using AI to write

In your own voice, rather than in the voice it defaults to.

Prompting properly

Why most results are poor, and what changes them.

Automating with AI

Connecting it to your real work rather than a chat window.

Thinking with it

Using it to work through a decision instead of only to produce something.

One to one or small group

On your actual tasks, not generic examples.

I will search for your business and send you what I find.

Seven searches on Google, Maps and an AI assistant. Screenshots, dated. You will see what a customer sees right now. No charge, and no call needed to get it.

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. In person across Palm Beach County, Broward County and the Treasure Coast. Anywhere by video.

I will search for your business

Seven searches on Google, Maps and an AI assistant. Screenshots, dated. No charge and no call needed.

Where else should I look?

Fill in the ones you have. Handle or link, either is fine.

No newsletter, no list. You get the screenshots either way.

Got it.

I will run the searches and send you what comes back, with the dates on them. If anything looks urgent I will say so.

Get a quote

Four lines. I read every one myself.

What is this about?

Pick at least one. More than one is fine.

I reply within one business day.

Got it.

I will look you up before I reply, so the first call is about your situation and not about basics.
